Mona and Simon's 60's inspired casino wedding

Mona and Simon got married last summer in the gorgeously chic Corinthian Club in Glasgow. (Last summer you say...? Yes, I know I'm not the speediest blogger. This post, and those that will eventually follow are my attempts to rectify that!) Anyway, back to Mona and Simon....

Mona didn't have a set colour scheme in mind when we met, her only specification was for the flowers to be seasonal and in pastel and vintagy shades. We settled on a lovely combination of light blues, pale pinks and subtle peaches with a little dollop of cream to balance the rest of the colours. Mona wore a beautiful lace 60's style wedding dress, which I adored. Simon and the boys had miniature rose buttonholes, and Mona's best women wore wrist corsages. As Mona is Norwegian there were no bridesmaids, but two best women instead, as is customary. We used my collection of white vintage milk glass and pale blue Mason jars for the flowers on each table for the reception, held in the splendid Langley room.

All photographs are courtesy of the very talented Ed Osborn and you can see more of this beautiful wedding over on Ed's blog. Well, I hope you'll come to enjoy the more frequent blogging! Happy Wednesday xx
